Continuous contact between the metering valve and the precisely coined bottom surface of the pushrod seat is maintained throughout the engine's rpm range, eliminating excessive oiling at high speeds. The pushrod seat is made of a special powdered metal iron alloy, heat-treated for strength and wear resistance. The longer piston is produced with through-hardened steel that provides more bearing surface and increased lifter longevity. These lifters have a lightweight check valve disk that allows for quicker response, resulting in increased engine speed before valve float.

The new Hemi engines from Chrysler are great power plants straight from the factory, with technology that allows the camshafts to move in real time. Instead of scrapping this advanced system, COMP Cams has embraced it with a new line of aftermarket Hemi-specific cams. The patent-pending Hemi phaser camshafts work with phaser limiters or locks to fully utilize Chrysler's Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology, which allows them to pick up torque in the low end of the engine, while maintaining power up high. Made from a billet core, these hydraulic roller cams are engineered tough enough to handle 5.7L and 6.4L Hemi street/strip engines. Their unique, no-springs-required design maintains piston-to-valve clearance, while enabling high performance lobes utilizing VVT, making them perfect for late model Dodge Challengers, Dodge Chargers, Chrysler 300s, Jeeps, Dodge trucks, and Mopar crate engines with VVT. One look at the torque curve produced by this camshaft will have your tires crying for mercy. * Stage 3 model: Godzilla Stage 3 camshafts are made for crate engines and engine swaps into lighter vehicles and those seeking maximum horsepower while still utilizing the phaser with a limiter kit. These cams bring the exhaust note that is worthy of the Godzilla name. They will produce well over 600 hp on pump gas! Awesome power can be expected, from 5,000 to 6,700 rpm with the valve spring kit (P/N 7230GCS-KIT) and a phaser limiter (P/N 5473). Testing with the phaser limiter kit resulted in gains of nearly 100 hp and 25 lbs.-ft. over stock. This much horsepower will make even Godzilla fly.

The COMP Cams XFI SPR Ford 4.6L/5.4L modular 3V (Springs & Phaser Mods Required) camshafts are the best way to achieve the most power and torque increases possible with the popular Ford Modular 3V engine. These designs are the next step up from the COMP Cams VSR (Valve Springs Required) cams. When compared to the VSR cams, the SPR cams offer additional mid-rpm power increases as well as substantial power gains in the higher rpm ranges. In addition to increases in horsepower, you can also expect another 800-1000 rpm of useable engine speed and an awesome sounding idle lope to match. To achieve this extra level of performance, lobe profiles and timing events were specifically designed to work with the factory variable cam timing (VCT) system cam phasers for all 2005 and newer Ford Modular 3V engines. These cam phasers were modified with the required COMP Cams Cam Phaser Limiter kit to restrict their movement to no more than 20 degrees. This simple modification gains additional piston to valve clearance, allowing for much larger cam designs. This results in cams that not only maintain low and mid-range power, but have incredible high rpm performance as well, all while maintaining the benefits of cam phasing. As noted by the COMP Cams engineering staff during extensive dyno testing, these camshafts provided the biggest power and torque improvements of any cam series they've ever tested in the Ford Modular 3V engine.
