Pacific Performance Engineering offers automatic transmission fluid bypass valves for a variety of applications. The OEM part has restrictive internal passages; and when the OEM valve fails in the open position, transmission fluid doesn't reach your cooler. This can be caused by mechanical failure or debris. The result of stock valve failure can cause the transmission to dangerously overheat. Without properly cooled transmission fluid, the demands of towing and rigorous stop-and-go driving conditions shorten the life of transmission components. This PPE bypass valve eliminates the mechanical valve—which maximizes fluid flow from the transmission cooler. For further protection, a Neodymium magnet-equipped service plug has been added. The removable plug traps ferrous debris and can be accessed to remove particles from the system. The factory part does not have this feature. Each adapter's built-in thermostat automatically bypasses the transmission cooler until the fluid reaches operating temperature. The thermostat reduces rough shifts caused by overcooled transmission fluid, reduces wear, and improves efficiency and horsepower. Your transmission can now reach operating temps quickly while retaining the cooling capacity needed for high load activities such as towing or racing. It's the best of both worlds! Adapter model TGM-100-T2 features SAE female -6 AN O-ring boss ports that accept adapter fittings for 5/16, 3/8, 1/2 in. hose barbs or male AN fittings. PSC's EHPS boost kits combine their cooler kit for electro-hydraulic power steering-equipped vehicles with their Apex boost kit. Together they eliminate steering issues with regard to power. A vehicle lifted with larger tires and higher offset wheels greatly increases the drag on the hydraulic power steering. Stock system pressures are set low to prevent overheating, but with aftermarket performance parts and harder use, stock pressures and lack of cooling becomes a problem. PSC Apex boost kits allow for a retune of the factory blow-off valve, allowing for an increase of steering power by 40 percent. Unfortunately, more power equals more heat and the factory system is barely acceptable.
