When the compressor clutch engages, the relay activates, allowing power to flow to the electric condenser fan motor. Hybrid Racing universal slim fans can fit and work in a variety of applications. If you're doing a K-Series engine swap, you'll need to change the fan since the OE units are too thick. These replacement fans also work great with Hybrid full-size radiators. It's recommended that you use a 12 in. slim model fan on half-size radiators (Note: EG Civics use a 10 in. fan) and two 10 in. fans on the full-size radiators.
