The heart of any air conditioning system is the compressor—their primary function is to compress and transfer refrigerant gas. The intake side draws in refrigerant gas from the outlet of the evaporator. Once condensed to a gas, it's then discharged to the condenser, where it can transfer the heat that is absorbed from the inside of the vehicle.
