The bundles include high-quality upgraded cooling components to replace items Mishimoto found to be the most failure-prone. Kits feature an aluminum radiator, silicone radiator hose kit, high- and low-temperature thermostats—plus other components (depending on the bundle you select). The Performance radiator features full aluminum construction with durable TIG-welded end tanks. In addition, it's designed with a massive two-row 2.2 in. thick core, which provides substantial improvements in cooling efficiency. The radiator hose kit is constructed from four layers of silicone with heat-resistant embedded fibers. This combination of materials provides substantially improved heat and pressure tolerance compared to the stock rubber hoses. In addition, the kit includes a CNC-machined aluminum quick-disconnect fitting, providing a considerable improvement in durability over the stock plastic unit. Rounding out the basic Essentials Bundle is a pair of thermostat sets; high-temperature thermostats hasten engine warmup, making it ideal for use in cold climates. The Mishimoto thermostats have a lower activation temperature (71 degrees C/160 degrees F) compared to the factory thermostat (82 degrees C/180 degrees F). The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, which yields and maintains lower engine temperatures. These thermostats are ideal for use in warmer climates, on vehicles making more power than stock, or under extreme towing/driving conditions.
