NPT bushing welded into the tank (they can be installed in any 1/4 in. NPT hole that is available in the cooling system). For years anodes have been used in heavy-duty and marine applications to protect the cooling systems and its many components from damage due to electrolysis. Flex-A-Lite now brings this protection to you. Today's cars and trucks have many aluminum parts and parts made in combination with aluminum alloy. Aluminum parts may disintegrate from electrolysis in the cooling system. Installing a Flex-A-Lite zinc anode will protect your cooling system from galvanic action by "eating" the zinc rather than your cooling system. Cheap, effective insurance.

Flex-A-Lite variable speed controllers attach on or near the electric fan, sensing coolant temperature via a radiator probe or temperature sending unit. They set fan speed from 60 to 100 percent, depending on the built-in thermostat's setting. The thermostats have a range of 160 to 220 degrees F. The variable speed controllers allow greater control over engine temperature, which helps to reduce charging spikes and current load on the charging system. They will keep the fans running for 30 seconds after your vehicle is turned off.

Flex-A-Lite offers all-new compact adjustable electric fan controllers with relay kit. They are available with either a thread-in temperature probe or traditional push-in–style probe. The control module is potted for water resistance and protection from vibration. Controllers include a 30 amp relay and inline fuse; all wires are permanently attached to the control module both for secure connections and to save time during installation. Adjusting the fan activation temperature is simple with a small, flat-blade screwdriver.
