Finding the proper fasteners in your local hardware store can be a challenge—especially for automotive purposes. Instead, simply order Artec Industries high steer stud kits, the OE-style replacements needed for your Dana axle. Most of these steel studs have a black oxide finish, fine threads on both ends, and offer tensile strength up to 220,000 psi. (Some kits also include nuts and/or conical washers.) Remember, stock bolts are typically too short for high steer applications. Artec studs are sold individually or in multi-pack sets.

Trail-Gear universal heavy-duty hydro assist ram kits feature a heavy-duty single-ended hydraulic ram in your choice of 6 in. or 8 in. stroke. Trail-Gear's specially designed ram features a 1 1/8 in. rod for maximum strength and a 2 1/4 in. diameter bore for maximum steering force. The provided mounting brackets in kit have fitments made from 1/4 in. thick-formed steel. Kits start with Artec's 1.75 in. O.D. aerospace-grade 7075 aluminum rods mated with premium tie rod ends that are designed after those in the Ford F-450s--beefy and longest lasting. The tie rod and drag link ends are offset to account for the short arms on the Super Duty knuckles that provide a great steering feel and no contact with the differential. Whether you're just starting out with crossover steering or going full hydro, these Artec Industries Ultimate 60 high steer arms are meant to handle it all—and provide you options as well! Rather than use the factory kingpin springs, the knuckle is held together with a springless design that uses a set screw to adjust the torque required to hold together. This eliminates some of the slop commonly found in axles after moderate off-road abuse. The hardware for a springless conversion is included, and consists of a 3/4 in. set screw, jam nut, grease zerk, 1/4 in. thick load washer, and upper kingpin bushing for each arm. The Artec Industries Ultimate 60 high steer arms are machined blank to allow custom tie rod and draglink locations. The knuckle bolt hole is not machined into the high steer arm because the factory hole location in every knuckle is different; thus, to fit your knuckle perfectly, the holes need to be drilled according to the knuckles they will attach to.
