Scott Drake has reproduced big bearing spindles for the 1964-1970 Mustangs by designing them to use larger and stronger bearings and tie rods. Just like the ones that were first used in the Boss 302 Mustangs to handle the extreme abuse of Trans-Am Racing. These components are constructed from forged ASTM 5140 grade steel, then black E-coated for added protection and then all mounting surfaces are precision machined. Special care has been taken to ensure bearing tolerances are identical to Ford's. For an extra measure of safety and durability, the entire spindle is heat-treated, and the bearing surface is treated with additional induction hardening.
