Borgenson steering box braces are designed to eliminate frame flex at the steering box mounting point, resulting in a more positive steering feel. The C2 and C3 Corvettes are known to have flexing issue at the steering box when running a wider tire on the front. This is an issue that has needed to be addressed for years. During the 48 Hour Corvette build, Borgeson built a prototype steering box brace as a bolt-on reinforcement. These braces are the result from that prototype and are designed to work with Borgeson power steering boxes. Made from high-strength steel, these steering stabilizer braces come with all the necessary mounting hardware and the installation instructions and can simply be bolted onto your existing system.

The strength limitations of the Ford Bronco's factory steering tie rods has been well documented, especially by Bronco owners who venture into the big rocks with big tires. These ICON XD Forged steering tie rod kits remedy this with better materials and beefier dimensions than the stock units. The inner tie rod and ball stud is CNC-machined from 4140 chromoly. The adjustment threads, where most failures occur on stock tie rods, are 18mm on the XD Forged tie rods versus 14mm on stock Bronco tie rods. The outer tie rod is forged steel and has the same bend as the stock tie rods for fitting all of the Bronco's factory wheel diameters and offsets—along with just about any aftermarket wheel. The tie rod end is a beefier, metal-on-metal joint that's greaseable for extended service life and has the same range of operating angle as the stock tie rod ends. For the most hardcore off-roaders, the ICON Vehicle Dynamics XD Forged tie rod kit (45212) is recommended as part of a comprehensive steering system upgrade strategy. Features at a glance: * 30 percent larger diameter than OE tie rods * 4140 chromoly inner ball studs * Forged steel outer tie rod ends * Metal on metal ball joint design with grease zerks * Design to fit around factory wheel offset * Includes inner tie rod boots that protect the steering rack from dirt and debris TECH INFO: * Compatible with OE HOSS 1.0 and HOSS 2.0 steering racks * Also compatible with HOSS 3.0 steering racks, but the dust boot must be stretched to fit over the rack housing * Not compatible with Bronco Raptor * Not compatible with aftermarket tie rod braces
