They feature a 1/4 in. laser-cut steel plate with raised center hoop for eliminating driveshaft interference on slammed trucks. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits are designed to remove the front mounting point of the torque arm off of the transmission and protect the tailshaft from damage. General Motors' tailshaft mounted design works great for a stock-driven vehicle; however, it is not designed to take abuse and hard launches. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits replace your transmission crossmember with a new, stronger setup with a built-in torque arm mount. Each relocation kit is designed to fit a specific transmission and will work with virtually any stock-style aftermarket torque arm, as well as with the factory torque arm. These units are built using rectangular mild steel tubing and 0.188 in. mild steel mounting plates and they include all hardware needed for installation. Once you've located the donor AMC Pacer (required, but not included), you'll find the use of these Pacer IFS mounting kits from Chassis Engineering gives you the ability to upgrade your vehicle's front suspension setup.
