General Motors' tailshaft mounted design works great for a stock-driven vehicle; however, it is not designed to take abuse and hard launches. Lowering your truck is cool, but when you do, where are you going to put the exhaust--under the frame? You'll run out of room, real quick. Well, Brothers Trucks has the solution in their crossmember exhaust brackets. These kits include meaty steel components--brackets, bolts, and template—that allow modification of the factory trailing arm crossmember for dual exhaust. They are ideal options if you don't want to remove the crossmember and still be able to tuck the exhaust up inside the frame, and they are the perfect solution for someone that doesn't have access to a welding machine. The provided metal template allows perfect alignment for the bolt holes and exhaust cut out. It utilizes an existing hole in the crossmember to locate the template, then insert one of the supplied bolts, clamp in place, and mark the remaining holes for drilling.
