Hooker LS engine swap transmission crossmembers are built to mount the transmission in place when switching to an LS engine. They are designed using CAD modeling/FEA analysis for optimal fitment, strength, weight, safety, and appearance. The crossmembers are manufactured from high-strength, low-alloy steel and then black powdercoated for maximum durability. They provide an engineered 3 to 3.5 degree engine/transmission inclination angle that is critical to obtaining suitable U-joint working angles. They are designed to be used in conjunction with Hooker LS engine swap brackets to provide a bolt-in installation of Hooker LS swap manifolds, headers, and exhaust systems for this application.

Lowering your truck is cool, but when you do, where are you going to put the exhaust--under the frame? You'll run out of room, real quick. Well, Brothers Trucks has the solution in their crossmember exhaust brackets. These kits include meaty steel components--brackets, bolts, and template—that allow modification of the factory trailing arm crossmember for dual exhaust. They are ideal options if you don't want to remove the crossmember and still be able to tuck the exhaust up inside the frame, and they are the perfect solution for someone that doesn't have access to a welding machine. The provided metal template allows perfect alignment for the bolt holes and exhaust cut out. It utilizes an existing hole in the crossmember to locate the template, then insert one of the supplied bolts, clamp in place, and mark the remaining holes for drilling. For the center hole, the hole in the template is larger to allow a plasma torch to be used as a guide, but if you don't have a plasma torch other means, such as a hole saw, can still be used to cut the hole. Get more clearance for exhaust without weakening your truck's frame when utilizing Brothers Trucks crossmember brackets. They're made from 1/4 in. in. thick steel plate for durability and include grease fitting access on top to allow easy maintenance of your joint. The brackets have a 2.625 in. mounting width with 9/16 in. bolt hole for common sized style cartridge joints. The skid plate on the bottom of each bracket wraps around the joint, protecting it from direct impact and decreasing premature wear; this skid plate design does not restrict movement of the joint. Tapered sides allow the Artec lower link frame brackets to be mounted at an angle without excess material hanging off the side. Not only do these brackets look better and more natural to the frame, but they also ensure less bracket sliding on the rocks and getting in the way.
