UMI Performance tubular front steering braces, also known as the Wonder Bars, are designed to tie the front right and left subframes together. UMI Performance tubular front steering braces bolt directly under the front sway bar, stiffening the front frame and resulting in improved handling, cornering, and overall performance. The steering braces strengthen the chassis, taking stress from the steering box area, which is well known as a weak area on any third-generation F-body. The steering braces are constructed from 0.250 in. 1018 mild steel CNC-machined mounting points and 1.250 in. DOM steel tubing with a 0.120 in. wall that is fully MIG-welded for extreme strength and lasting performance.

The 3rd Gen Camaro and Firebird are known for having a weak and flexible steering box area. To address flex and improve handling, a steering brace, also known as the Wonder Bar from QA1, is available. These tubular components bolt directly above the front sway bar, tying the front subframes together. Installing a QA1 Wonder Bar helps stiffen the front frame, reducing stress on this weak point. This translates to improved steering response to your vehicle with benefits like sharper handling, improved cornering, and overall better vehicle performance. Features and benefits: * Tubular construction strengthens the front chassis * Thoughtful design—the QA1 Wonder Bar installs cleanly between the sway bar and frame rails, maintaining a factory appearance without compromising ground clearance * Bolt-in installation makes the upgrade hassle-free Fitment Notes: Please be aware that 1982-1984 cars may need to slot existing mounting holes.

Stifflers Suspension lower chassis braces dramatically increase the strength and stiffness of the front chassis area. Available for both factory and aftermarket K-members, this additional stiffness minimizes flexing to help maintain correct front suspension geometry while under load. The result is tighter steering response and more predictable handling under cornering and braking. Where applicable, Stifflers' lower chassis braces can be combined with their Spider braces (sold separately) to completely integrate the front and rear chassis sections for unprecedented car control. Features include: * Manufactured from high-strength tubing to maximize stiffness and strength while reducing weight * Design optimized using CAD/CAE software combined with real-world test data * Industrial-grade powdercoated for long life * Select models available that will work with aftermarket long tube headers * Includes hardware and rod ends (where applicable) * Depending on application, welding and drilling may be required
