Lowering your truck is cool, but when you do, where are you going to put the exhaust--under the frame? You'll run out of room, real quick. Well, Brothers Trucks has the solution in their crossmember exhaust brackets. These kits include meaty steel components--brackets, bolts, and template—that allow modification of the factory trailing arm crossmember for dual exhaust. They are ideal options if you don't want to remove the crossmember and still be able to tuck the exhaust up inside the frame, and they are the perfect solution for someone that doesn't have access to a welding machine. The provided metal template allows perfect alignment for the bolt holes and exhaust cut out. It utilizes an existing hole in the crossmember to locate the template, then insert one of the supplied bolts, clamp in place, and mark the remaining holes for drilling. For the center hole, the hole in the template is larger to allow a plasma torch to be used as a guide, but if you don't have a plasma torch other means, such as a hole saw, can still be used to cut the hole. Get more clearance for exhaust without weakening your truck's frame when utilizing Brothers Trucks crossmember brackets. Simply trim the end of this product to match the contours of ANY short-style truss, and you have a full-width truss at hand. The design is borrowed from Artec's new low-profile front trusses, and gives you a more compact truss that doesn't get in the way of other vehicle components. The 3/8 in. thick truss top and 1/4 in thick gussets incorporate a unique design to strengthen the axle and provide a link mounting surface or bump stop pad. Use a long modular truss end with a 14-bolt truss and make a 14-bolt front axle. Or use two modular truss ends on a rear axle with a modular or short truss, and you'll have a low-profile rear truss which has more clearance for frame rails than a normal rear truss and gives you a flat surface for bump stops to hit. These brackets are for use with RockKrawler Krawler joints that have a 2.325 in. mounting width and a hole size of 9/16 in. They are machined from 3/16 in. thick steel and are CNC-bent for precision. These brackets do require welding, and if so desired, may be painted. Each rear frame bracket welds between the two factory crossmembers above the driveshaft and is intended for use with a RockKrawler X-Factor rear 3-link upper control arm.
