The 6 in. or 8 in. stroke kits are available with different components; some include a steering box, pump, and fluid cooler. Flaming River 1988-98 Chevy C1500 truck power rack and pinion cradle kits are direct bolt-ins with precision welded cradles manufactured using a 3/8 in. steel plate to assure there is no flexing. Each kit adapts to the original steering column and includes a new slip shaft with U-joints and a hose kit. They have been designed for use with the original power steering pump and the travel bar maintains original geometry. Building a fully hydraulic steering system can be quite a project. Thankfully, Trail-Gear has taken all of the guesswork out of the process with these complete, user-friendly hydraulic steering kits! Everything you will need is included, such as mounting brackets specifically designed for Toyota apps. The steering pump has an all-steel housing and emits 4.5 gpm of flow and 1,650 psi of pressure. Each high-pressure hose is steel-braided with crimped-on ends. These kits are available in 6, 8, and 10 in. ram sizes, and are ideal for use with links and most leaf spring applications. Flaming River 1973-87 Chevrolet truck power rack and pinion cradle kits feature a one-piece formed cradle design and built-in skid protection. Their solid plate steel offers increased strength.
