UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms bolt on directly in place of the factory unit using existing mounting holes and require no drilling or welding. These torque arms are designed to eliminate wheel hop under hard acceleration and reduce 60 ft. times instantly. UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms are supplied with a low-deflection front bushing designed to replace the stock rubber bushing and bolt in the existing clamshell. The rear torque arm mount is constructed entirely of 0.375 in. thick, CNC-machined mild steel and is fully MIG-welded. These torque arms feature on-car adjustability for easy pinion angle adjustments using a 4140 heat-treated adjuster and 3/4 in. rod ends. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits replace your transmission crossmember with a new, stronger setup with a built-in torque arm mount. Each relocation kit is designed to fit a specific transmission and will work with virtually any stock-style aftermarket torque arm, as well as with the factory torque arm. These units are built using rectangular mild steel tubing and 0.188 in. mild steel mounting plates and they include all hardware needed for installation. UMI Performance control arm torque box reinforcements will take care of those cracked torque boxes. If you have raced your Mustang aggressively, on slicks, or even on the street, and especially if your car is a 5-speed, you may have cracked torque boxes. Fox bodies don't have the best chassis to begin with; combine them with a V8 and some torque, and you are going to have problems. UMI Performance offers tunnel mounted torque arm relocation kits for a variety of 1982-92 GM F-Body vehicles, including Chevy Camaros and Pontiac Firebirds. These TH350 transmission mounts come with an added bushing mount to be used with UMI's tunnel-mounted torque arm. They are the same mount supplied with UMI's 2214 tunnel-mounted torque arm setup. The mounts will also work with factory T5 5-speed transmissions. This relocation kit is the best option if you already have a UPI tunnel-mounted torque arm and are doing a transmission swap. These kits are designed to get your vehicle consistently leaving the line straight, eliminate torque steer, and drastically improve 60 ft. times. The included adjustable end links allow vehicle preload to be set for straight launches. UMI's end links feature heavy-duty chromoly rod ends, which have a hard chrome plating and a PTFE self-lubricating race. The end links attach to the drag bars using 5/8 in.
