The Bandit Series electric vacuum pumps are available in a naked, black, or chrome finishes. The Black and Chrome Series pumps allow the option of removing the pump assembly as one unit from the canister—turning it into a "Naked" Series electric vacuum pump; this allows the pump to be mounted in very confined spaces. Rein OE-manufactured brake vacuum pumps are produced to the specifications of the auto maker's engineers. They come complete with a mounting gasket or seal, depending on the application. Vacuum pumps are used in vehicles with engines that do not produce sufficient vacuum to provide power to the braking system, EGR valves, intake manifold switches, as well as turbocharger actuators and others. A failed or improperly working brake vacuum pump can lead to a reduction in braking power, a reduction in part and/or full load performance, a triggering of check engine light or limp mode, or engine misfires.
