Wilwood Residual Pressure Valves
Ideal for drag racing, street rods, and many off-road applications, inline residual pressure valves from Wilwood retain a minimum brake line pressure to help eliminate excessive pedal travel. These 2 lb. valves are used in disc brake applications where the master cylinder is mounted below the horizontal plane of the calipers--in other words, where fluid drainback occurs, causing excessive brake drag. With drum brakes, 10 lb. valves are used to compensate for return spring tension in the drums. Wilwood residual pressure valves are made from billet aluminum and color-coded for easy identification.

Allstar Performance Residual Check Valves
Allstar Performance residual check valves hold a small amount of pressure in your brake system to keep it functioning properly, while helping to sustain a firm pedal. Maintaining system pressure prevents fluid from returning to the master cylinder, when the master cylinder is positioned lower than or close to the same height as the calipers or wheel cylinders. Proper system pressure also keeps pistons and wheel cylinder seals expanded, creating a positive seal, and brake pads seated against the rotor. Valves include two 3/16 in. inverted flare fittings.

Baer Brakes Residual Pressure Valves
Baer Brakes residual pressure valves are designed to maintain a small amount of line pressure needed in certain situations. The 2 lb. valve would be used with disc brakes whenever the master cylinder is mounted below or level with the calipers to prevent possible fluid drain back—which can result in excessive pedal travel. A 10 lb. valve would be used in any drum brake circuit, no matter of the master cylinder location. Pressure residual valves are machined from billet aluminum with a gray anodized finish. They are available with 3/8 in.-24 inverted flare female or -3 AN male threads.
