Summit Racing™ residual check valves are ideal replacement parts in any brake set-up that uses an adjustable proportioning valve. Check valves run inline on the rear brakes in disc/drum systems to ensure the shoes stay in contact with the drums. Avoid allowing your drum system brake springs to compress the wheel cylinders (resulting in excessive pedal travel) with the Summit Racing™ residual check valves designed for your application.

Classic Performance Residual Check Valves

Classic Performance residual check valves are required in a brake set-up that uses an adjustable proportioning valve. A check valve is run inline on the rear brakes in disc/drum systems to ensure the shoes stay in contact with the drums. Failure to use a residual check valve will allow the brake springs in a drum system to compress the wheel cylinders, resulting in excessive pedal travel. These fittings are available in a variety of sizes, PSI pressure ratings, and finishes.
