The process of stress-flow forging re-aligns the metal's grain structure within the contour of the caliper's body. This removes the breaks and interruptions to the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block billet. Wilwood SRP Drilled Performance Brake Rotors

These billet SL6 series calipers integrate "Big Brake" style and Wilwood's latest technology. Each caliper is precision CNC-machined from high-strength billet into three specialized configurations that cover a broad range of competition and sports driving applications. The key to their superior performance is their extremely durable and efficient body design. It is the product of FEA computer solid modeling and stress analysis technology. Full-length stiffening ribs and a reinforced radial transition from the piston bore housings to the closed-end bridges have produced the strongest caliper bodies ever built, according to Wilwood. Wilwood D154-R single piston lightweight calipers start with a forged aluminum Type III hard anodized body with stainless steel piston and then have excess material removed to reduce weight without hurting strength. They offer a choice of 2.000 in. or 2.500 in. piston and they fit rotors from .810 in. to 1.040 in. thickness up to 12.19 in. diameter. The fluid inlet port is centered directly behind the piston and eliminates any interference with slide pins. Low Range Off-Road Backing Plate Eliminators

Low Range Off-Road backing plate eliminators solve the problems caused by flimsy factory disc brake backing plates (also called dust shields). They often get bent from even the slightest touch. Small rocks can get trapped between the backing plate and the rotor causing noise and damage. LROR backing plate eliminator kits include two spacer rings that take the place of the OE backing plates.
