The floating rotors are made of proprietary steel and engineered to significantly improve resistance to warping and creep at high temperatures. The rotor hats are fully machined from strong, lightweight aluminum forgings, and the complete rotor design eliminates the need for bolts to attach rotor and hat. These lightweight, drag race-only brake kits also feature the Strange single piston caliper kit. The caliper kit employs a unique slider assembly built with internal bearings and precision-ground sliders to prevent the calipers from binding or sticking. The single-piston calipers utilize square pads that slide freely, which prolongs pad life.
