The venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots reduce pad glaze, disperse gasses, and decrease heat generated at the pad-to-rotor interface. The kits feature a tandem mount balance bar assembly offered with or without eyelet and paired with either two high-volume, aluminum master cylinders or two compact, remote flange master cylinders for those with limited space applications but requiring the output capacity of a full-size master cylinder. The tandem mount balance bar assembly (with or without eyelet) give modified street cars and trucks the precision-control usually reserved for race vehicles. Each one is a lightweight, forged billet aluminum assembly that bolts to the firewall, replacing the tandem master cylinder with a balance bar and sturdy dual master cylinder mounts for two race-type vertical bolt pattern master cylinders, with no custom fabrication needed. You can easily adjust brake bias with the included knob and the bar assembly is designed with oval mounting holes for 3.22 in. to 3.40 in. on-center studs for a wide variety of vehicle fitments. Wilwood's high-volume aluminum master cylinders feature high-pressure, diecast bodies with the highest fluid capacity of any integral reservoir design. With a total capacity of 8.2 oz., there is at least 26 percent more fluid volume than other brands, and more fluid volume means cooler temperatures and additional insurance for extreme conditions where high pad wear can compromise fluid levels during long events. The 1 7/16 in. piston travel offers plenty of margin when used with large 4- or 6-piston calipers and the heavy-duty internal springs provide fast retraction.
