Classic Performance Residual Check Valves

Classic Performance residual check valves are required in a brake set-up that uses an adjustable proportioning valve. A check valve is run inline on the rear brakes in disc/drum systems to ensure the shoes stay in contact with the drums. Failure to use a residual check valve will allow the brake springs in a drum system to compress the wheel cylinders, resulting in excessive pedal travel. These fittings are available in a variety of sizes, PSI pressure ratings, and finishes.

Allstar Performance residual check valves hold a small amount of pressure in your brake system to keep it functioning properly, while helping to sustain a firm pedal. Maintaining system pressure prevents fluid from returning to the master cylinder, when the master cylinder is positioned lower than or close to the same height as the calipers or wheel cylinders.
