The Baer Big Claw brake rotors are a performance rotor upgrade that is a simple, bolt-on kit that offers improved braking performance at the fraction of the cost of a big brake kit. The kit includes a pair of 1pc, larger than stock diameter rotors and caliper relocation brackets. The larger, purpose cast rotors feature added material in the fire path and a curved vane design for improved brake torque and better heat transfer/cooling to help reduce brake fade and provide a more consistent braking performance. Along with the improved brake performance, the Big Claw rotors feature a slotted, drilled and zinc-plated finish for improved appearance in large open center wheels.

A 4-wheel disc brake upgrade (Corvette-style 4-piston calipers for both front and rear) was offered on the 1968 Camaro as a "heavy-duty service" package sold through Chevrolet car dealers. In 1969, a JL8 package could be ordered as a RPO on production vehicles. These unique, high-end brakes were very rare, being sold on only about 200 production vehicles. REKUDO is making complete JL8 brake systems available again. Upgraded components, like forged aluminum calipers, premium rotors, dust shields, brake hoses, spindles, hubs, and other parts can be purchased to install, maintain, and repair JL8 brake systems on your early Corvette, Camaro, or Firebird. They are ideal for use in all high-performance applications. REKUDO JL8 brake calipers are forged from 7075 aircraft grade aluminum and are 50 percent lighter than stock cast iron calipers. They are available in several finish options-- red or black powdercoat or raw forged aluminum with and without the REKUDO logo. Additional features and benefits: * Factory-style rubber caliper piston dust seals to keep out road debris * Bleeder screws with caps will keep bleeders clean * Uses 3rd generation Corvette (C3)-style brake pads making them easy to service and available in a wide range of pad compounds * Calipers work with Rekudo front spindles, front hubs, rear caliper brackets, dust shields, and rotors * Calipers designed with finite element analysis for lightweight and strength * Piston sizes optimized to maintain proper brake bias front to rear
