COMP Cams DragSim5 vehicle simulators perform a comprehensive simulation of the physics that act on the vehicle as it accelerates from a standing start to terminal velocity 1/8 or 1/4 mile down the track. This comprehensive analysis determines vehicle performance, inch-by-inch, throughout the entire race. The results display looks similar to a professional data acquisition system! You'll clearly see exact elapsed times, speeds, and rpm, starting at rollout to 60 ft., 330 ft., 660 ft. (1/8 mile), 1,000 ft., and 1,320 ft. (1/4 mile). Elapsed times and speeds can be compared with up to four other vehicles to help locate the best component combinations. The COMP Cams DragSim5 vehicle simulators' features include: * Improved starting line modeling * Greater accuracy * Improved data analysis * Improved torque converter modeling * Bulletproof shifting algorithms * Improved traction analysis and traction calculator * QuickIterator, fast one-button testing finds best gear ratios and shift points * Traction QuickCalculator, makes traction analysis a one-button task * New Windows XP colors and graphics * QuickAccess buttons * More vehicle data * 100-page color user's manual

The Tuning School's GM transmission tuning course is a combination of knowledge for tuning GM 4, 6 and 8-speed automatic transmissions. The course is divided up into separate processes for tuning each transmission, which includes torque management, shift times, shift firmness, shift points and feel. This course will guide you through setting up the VCM scanner, so you can log the parameters needed to understand what's happening with the transmission, including line pressures, shift times and converter slip. This is one of the best improvements you can make to any GM vehicle with an automatic. This course includes the most up to date information available, including the 8-speed automatics.
