By combining the proven performance benefits of GFB's ground-breaking DV+ with atmosphere venting, the VTA delivers an aggressive blow-off sound, improved throttle response and boost recovery, as well as superior boost holding and reliability in extreme conditions. The VTA shares the successful DV+ design philosophy: "Keep what works, replace what doesn't." This means Go Fast Bits retained ECU control and the solenoid from the factory diverter to ensure the fastest possible response time—without the added and unnecessary cost of replacing the solenoid like some brands do. The weak part of the factory diverter has always been the plastic valve mechanism; this is the part GFB has replaced. The VTA features CNC-machined billet components that last a lifetime, and the valve operation method has been updated for better performance. The factory diverter valve can only operate in two states: open or closed. When it opens fully at low boost or during a partial throttle lift mid-corner, it causes increased lag and a noticeably non-linear boost transition. GFB pioneered the use of "pilot operation" in the DV+, which works by re-purposing the factory solenoid to control the pressure behind the piston rather than the piston itself. This allows the solenoid stroke to be much shorter, speeding up the response time and increasing the actuation force. More importantly, it allows the piston to open and close progressively in response to the amount of boost pressure present, which smooths boost transitions and reduces the lag caused by the factory diverter valve. It's this design philosophy that makes the VTA not only the best performing blow-off valve solution, but also the best value on the market. The Agency Power upgraded intercooler duct cover increases the center scoop from 1.5 in. to 4 in. tall and each side scoop from 1.5 in. to 2 in. with all keeping a 4 inch width. The intercooler duct cover increases the inlet air flow by over 40 percent from 32 cu. in. to 46 cu. in. Made from a durable ABS plastic similar to the stock unit, the duct covers have a smooth black finish and feature the AP logo. By installing a blow-off valve, you can improve boost response, prolong the life of the turbo, and of course, get that cool swoosh sound! If you want to install a blow-off valve on the Can-Am X3, there is one problem … no place for it! However, this is now possible with the Agency Power blow-off valve hose kit and adjustable blow-off valve that is designed to connect to the compressor side of your turbo and the plastic charge tube. The 3-ply silicone tube allows you to install our adjustable blow off valve with a 1 in. flange. The smooth inside of the silicone tube helps eliminate any turbulence caused by OEM corrugated designs. To run a blow-off valve on the X3, you need to pull vacuum which keeps the valve shut under boost. Because there is no pressure source to tap into, a special machined fitting is included which fits on to the intake manifold. The blow-off valve is what separates this Agency Power kit from others. The CNC-machined aluminum valve features a piston and spring design to provide sharp boost response when needed. The spring has been spec'd to accommodate the needs of the Can-Am X3 turbo system. Designed as a vent to atmosphere valve, it releases the built-up charge pressure giving you a loud whoosh sound when you let off the throttle. The top portion of the valve can be turned 360 degrees allowing you to adjust the stiffness of the spring. This gives you the control of when you want the blow-off valve to release pressure.
