Fuel injected or carbureted; race car, daily driver, or high-performance street machine—no matter what you drive, Summit Racing Equipment has a fuel pump to feed it. We carry pumps for gasoline, diesel, alcohol, E85, methanol, and nitromethane fuels, in the following configurations:

External Electric Fuel Pumps

External electric pumps are used in a wide range of applications. They’re commonly installed inline when converting from a carburetor to fuel injection, often using the original fuel tank and much of the existing fuel system. They can also be used as lift pumps to get fuel from your tank to your engine. An external electric pump can supply huge quantities of fuel in a racing application, as well as feed a dedicated nitrous oxide fuel system. Summit carries high-performance external pumps from Aeromotive, MagnaFuel, Holley, Weldon, FASS Fuel Systems, FUELAB, Summit Racing® and more.

In-Tank Electric Fuel Pumps

In-tank electric pumps perform the same function as external pumps, but are mounted inside the fuel tank, as the name implies. While this can make the pump more difficult to access than an external pump, there are advantages to this configuration. An in-tank pump tends to be quieter than an external pump, the pump stays cooler because it is submerged in fuel, and installation is cleaner with the pump hidden. Most (if not all) modern vehicles use in-tank pumps, and Summit carries thousands of stock replacement and high-performance pumps for these applications, with and without fuel level sending units. Adding fuel injection to your classic? Universal in-tank pumps are available to retrofit your original tank and maintain a factory look. We carry high-performance in-tank pumps from Holley, Aeromotive, Walbro, DeatschWerks, FUELAB, and more, as well as stock replacement pumps from Bosch, AC Delco, GMB North America, US Motor Works, Spectra Premium, and many others.

Mechanical Fuel Pumps

For carbureted vehicles, mechanical fuel pumps are still a popular and practical choice. They’re quiet, reliable, and don’t require any additional plumbing. In most cases, they must be used on engines with a fuel pump mounting boss, which limits their use to older vehicles. Summit carries stock replacement mechanical fuel pumps from Carter, Spectra Premium, Sierra Marine, Delphi, Airtex, and more. For high-performance applications, we carry pumps with indexable housings for correct inlet and outlet orientation, chrome-plated pumps that add underhood eye candy, and billet aluminum pumps for the ultimate in strength and good looks. Check out Holley, Carter, Edelbrock, Quick Fuel, MagnaFuel, and Aeromotive to see top-of-the line mechanical fuel pumps.

Holley Sniper OE Style 255 LPH EFI Fuel Pump Modules

Holley Sniper offers OE-style 255 lph EFI fuel pump modules for a wide range of vehicles, including many Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, GMC, Ford, Mercury, Jeep, Dodge and Plymouth cars and trucks from the 1950s, '60s, '70s, and '80s. These in-tank modules are high-pressure units that flow 255 liters per hour (LPH) and are capable of supporting electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines producing up to 550 hp. A pre-calibrated fuel level sending unit designed to work with the factory fuel gauge for this application is included. Each module also features a HydraMat filter which has a unique internal reservoir that keeps fuel available at the pick-up and also provides protection from contaminates. Fuel pressure is internally regulated to 58 psi, eliminating the added expense and effort of purchasing and installing an external fuel pressure regulator; no separate return line is required because these modules return excess fuel right inside the tank! The Holley Sniper EFI fuel pump module was designed as a direct replacement for your factory pick-up and sending unit. There's no need to purchase a custom EFI fuel tank. You can even retain the factory fuel hard line—just connect the outlet of the pump module to the hard line on your vehicle with EFI-rated fuel hose and hose clamps available in the Earls Vapor Guard line.
