Cold air intake kits are a popular choice among enthusiasts who are looking to optimize engine power and performance. The process of combustion requires fuel to burn, a heat source to ignite it, and air to supply oxygen. That air is drawn into the engine through a vehicle’s air intake system, but stock systems are designed in a way that sacrifices optimal air flow (and maximum horsepower) in favor of quieter performance. A performance air intake is a popular and affordable upgrade that allows you to get more power from your engine by creating a larger, straighter airflow path than stock systems.
One of the more popular styles available is a cold air intake system.
Beyond the performance considerations, each type has a different sound quality. Both are noisier than a stock intake, but short ram intakes usually produce a lower-pitched, throatier sound. It’s up to you to choose which you prefer.

Hybrid Racing offers cold air intake systems for a variety of applications, including select Honda© and Acura© models. Designing an intake system with a set of guidelines isn't hard to achieve. However, building an intake system that not only fits every engine combination while allowing that setup to produce more power is. Hybrid chose to narrow that field and focus on the best recipe for power gains. Combined with its high-flow velocity air filter, these cold air intake systems have shown gains of up to 10 percent (5-10 hp) across the powerband compared to a short ram system, while significantly reducing intake air temperatures. Don't want to relocate your battery? No problem. The Hybrid Racing RSX intake allows for the battery to stay in the OEM location. These intakes require a 70mm or larger throttle body and the RBC/RRC style intake manifolds. Fitment or compatibility with an OEM PRB intake is not guaranteed. Slight trimming of the LH inner fender lining is required, and the removal or relocation of the OEM windshield washer bottle is needed. Alterations to cars running OEM Type R brake cooling ducts may be necessary. The included radiator hose fits the K20A/A2/A3/Z1 water neck. It may not fit the K20Z3/K24 water neck. What's included? 1 – 3 in. Hybrid Racing silicone cold air intake tube 1 – Velocity stack air filter 1 – Silicone upper radiator hose (for PRB style coolant neck) 1 – Valve cover breather filter 1 – Lower filter bracket 1 – Anti-vibration clamp 1 – Stainless T-bolt clamp 2 – Silicone hoses for breather connections 2 – Machined aluminum push-in fittings 5 – Hose clamps 2 – Bolts 3 – Washers
