The BlackBox by Turbosmart is a dedicated electronic wastegate controller which can be used in cooperation with a range of factory, aftermarket, and Motorsport ECU's. The BlackBox wastegate controllers provide protection from the current demands and translation of basic, as well as more advanced boost control strategies into a gate position and can be used on single, or twin electronic wastegate systems for the ultimate in boost control. The BlackBox is a dual-channel, high-current capable H-bridge driver for use with the Turbosmart range of electronic external wastegates—including the StraightGate50, as well as Turbosmart's electronic poppet style gates including CompGate40, HyperGate45, ProGate50 and PowerGate60 electronic Wastegates. Additional features and benefits: * Capable of multiple strategies, the BlackBox will accept PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) inputs as used for traditional boost control solenoids, 0-5 V position target, CAN position target and CAN bus override for more advanced ECU's where control strategy can be developed natively * The Blackbox provides for auto-calibration of Electronic External Wastegates via a full sweep and includes over temp safety features using the temperature sensor inputs * The BlackBox is pre-configured with the flow vs. lift calibration data of all Electronic Actuated Wastegates from Turbosmart for simple setup and accurate boost control * Settings can be adjusted via a simple USB connection and PC based application and unlimited control strategies can be implemented with the CAN based override system where your strategy is limited only by your ECU's capability

There are six boost presets (plus an extra one dedicated to the scramble feature) that you can set up with different boost parameters for different driving conditions, and then activate them on-the-fly or at the press of a button. The unique scramble feature can be set up for a variety of purposes. It can raise or lower boost when activated with the screen button, or via the auxiliary input using a switch, button, or ECU output. For example, you could use it to lower boost pressure for safety by connecting it to an existing warning light, or instantly access high boost by pressing a button or flipping a switch. * The D-Force can also display Exhaust Gas Temperature and has a user-adjustable warning. This feature requires the EGT plug-in module, which includes a stainless steel EGT probe and weld-on exhaust bung, along with the module to connect it to the D-Force wiring loom. The D-Force kit is available with or without the EGT plug-in module, and the module is also available separately. * The controller interface is easy to use with touch-buttons and one-touch menu navigation. The boost pressure units can be displayed in psi, bar, kPa—and the peak recall feature lets you see your peak boost after each boost event. * 50 psi capability! * Closed-loop boost control strategy—for the fastest possible boost rise rate and minimum drop off at high RPM, the adjustable closed-loop logic helps prevent boost variations that can occur in different gears, RPM ranges, and atmospheric conditions. * Remote input trigger: Connect the remote input wire to a switch, button, warning light or ECU output to change boost presets or activate scramble boost. * Over-boost warning/cut: User adjustable warning to indicate if the boost pressure is too high and to cut the solenoid to lower boost and protect the engine. * Touch screen interface with simple menu navigation: Capacitive touch screen and single-touch menu navigation makes setup exceptionally easy. PRODRAG injector boost controllers are the fastest and most accurate way to control boost. Turbosmart StraightGate50 vacuum wastegates are zero-offset butterfly-style units that allow enormous flow and almost linear control, and unparalleled boost control throughout the entire operating range. These high-flowing wastegates are simple to use, and packed with performance, flow, and features. The zero-offset butterfly valves are subjected to exhaust drive pressure equally on both halves of the valve, which pivots centrally, resulting in a self-balanced valve against any drive pressure. This means less work is required to act against even the highest drive pressures, and a wider tuning window is possible, no matter how the valve is actuated. The increased flow is achieved through the efficiency of a straight-through valve versus a poppet-style valve where the exhaust gas must be turned 90 degrees by the valve. Turbosmart pneumatic StraightGate 50s are available in a boost-based pSG50 6 psi or vacuum-based pSG50v 6 InHg versions.
