The manifold's improved design is complimented by an open area under the plenum—a feature that ensures less heat transfer from the engine, meaning the air/fuel charge will be cooler and produce more power and torque. They are cast from lightweight aluminum and feature a low-profile for ideal hood clearance. The TSP Vortec manifolds have additional provisions, including dual distributor hold-downs, 4-corner water ports, and a choke block-off kit. They are set up for spread bore carbs and include an adapter plate and gasket for use with square bore types. Note: As Vortec blocks do not have a water bypass, the manifolds are equipped with a provision to connect to a stock water pump using a 5/8 in. heater hose.

Edelbrock Victor tunnel ram top is for use with 4500 series carburetors and their Victor Tunnel Ram base manifolds only. They are designed with larger openings to accommodate throttle bore sizes up to 2.31 in. without modification and are wider to accommodate the larger runners in the new manifolds. Carburetors will need to be mounted sideways in order to clear the manifold.

Think of them as intercoolers for your intake, with the same physics and chemistry, but just a different execution. They include heavy-duty adhesive that will stick to any clean, semi-smooth surface. Simply degrease and clean the surface, wipe it with pre-paint cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, and then firmly press the Heatshield Products I-M shields onto the underside of the intake manifold.
