These kits feature the Vortech PowerHat with diffusion technology and they will produce approximately 5 psi at 5,500 rpm on a mildly modified 350 engine. Additionally, most OEM Saginaw-type power steering pumps can be attached to the Vortech mounting bracket by using the supplied hardware in the kits. Important information or requirements for the Vortech carbureted entry-level supercharger kits: * These systems were designed to fit on engines equipped with a "long" water pump and OEM V-belt drives or serpentine accessory drives; for correct belt alignment, the proper accessory drive crank pulley and accessory bracketry must be used * Earlier models equipped with short water pumps will require a long water pump to be installed * Quick Fuel, Demon, or Holley 4150-type, 4-barrel carburetor with mechanical secondaries designed for "blow-though" applications (may require rejetting or minor modification) * High performance, boost-referenced fuel pump * Compressor bypass valve * Accessory belts (will vary per application, depending on accessory configuration and supercharger pulley diameters) * Minor (bottom-side) modifications may be required, depending on the vehicle and type of intake manifold installed on the engine

Edelbrock E-Force supercharger kits use a positive displacement supercharger that is capable of producing over 500 hp. These kits include the supercharger with Eaton internals, a manifold, drive pulleys, a belt, and all necessary items for installation. Edelbrock E-Force superchargers are designed to provide more horsepower per pound of boost than their competitors, from off-idle through the rest of the rpm range. Plus, their internal bypass valve practically eliminates parasitic loss, consuming less than 1/3 of one horsepower at 60 mph. NOTE: They are not compatible with HEI distributors.

Now you don't have to run a cumbersome roots-style supercharger on your vintage muscle. Vortech's carbureted centrifugal supercharger kits are designed to bring the performance and compact fit associated with late model fuel injected kits to vehicles equipped with carbureted engines. In most cases, these kits will fit under your stock hood without modifications. The heart of each kit is either a gear-driven V-1 S-Trim head unit or a gear-driven V-7 YSi-Trim head unit, unless otherwise noted. The cast aluminum carburetor enclosure assembly pressurizes the float bowls and throttle shafts for seamless response, and is designed for use with Holley 4150 or Demon 750 MD carburetors. The enclosure features front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports as well as provisions for pressure and vacuum connections. Linkage arms, a splined shaft, left/right hand spherical rod ends, and carburetor studs are included for simple throttle connection and adjustment. The included oil feed and oil drain assemblies deliver the best possible lubrication and cooling for the supercharger. They also feature a 6061-T6 billet aluminum supercharger crank pulley, pulley spacer, and an automatic belt tensioner.
