Direct Sheetmetal Firewalls

Direct Sheetmetal firewalls are made out of 16-gauge (.060 in.) cold-rolled steel and are available in a choice of setbacks to accommodate engine swaps. They are hand-formed in DSM's shop and, like all Direct Sheetmetal parts, are designed so the average hot rod enthusiast can install them in their own garage or workshop. You do not have to use a new floorboard if you change your firewall, but all DSM firewalls have a floorboard to match up to. This often makes for a more professional installation. Although DSM firewalls do not normally have to be trimmed, some may because every car is different. Direct Sheetmetal makes their firewalls to overlay other parts so trimming is OK. Bigger is better--it is harder to add material than to trim material.

GearStar GM 6L90E Level 3 Transmissions

GearStar GM 6L90E Level 3 transmissions come with a custom billet Yank Performance torque converter. This is the first of many upgrades that go into making sure that each transmission is not only built for performance and durability but longevity as well. These units come programmed with a VIN number that will work with most aftermarket transmission controllers. If this is going into a stock application, GearStar has the ability to program the transmission with your VIN number to ensure it's a direct replacement. The next upgrades for this transmission are expanded capacity performance clutch packs. Level 3 transmissions come with all new electrics, including the wiring harness, internal computer, all sensors and solenoids—along with all new bushings, bearings, and seals. To help with durability and performance, the transmissions come with a billet pump rotor, billet 4-5-6 clutch hub, hardened and reinforced clutch hubs, and a hardened rear planetary gear assembly.
