They are induction heat-treated to optimize torsional strength, and then 100 percent magnafluxed. They are shipped directly from the supplier, so shipping times may vary. Moser can make any axle for your needs, whether you have a difficult-to-fit rear-end setup or you need your axle shortened and re-splined. Moser Engineering M9 Fabricated 9 in. Housing and Axle Packages
Engineered to race tolerances, these Moser M9 fabricated 9 in. housing and axle packages allow you to build your axle package with various custom selections and specifically for your application. They are built race-tough with seamless steel tubing, new brackets, new housing ends, new bushings, custom alloy axles, studs, and heavy-duty retainer plates. The Moser housings are made from 1/8 in. laser-cut mild steel and are combined with a 3/8 in. face plate. They come standard with internal gussets and bulk heads, able to take on a tough day at the track. These M9s also have custom-machined fill and drain bungs for easy maintenance. Moser Engineering Drag Brake Kits
Moser Engineering drag brake kits deliver a new standard for safety and performance in Pro Drag disc brake kits. With over 4 years of R&D and track testing to assure reliability and performance, these drag brake kits instill confidence like no other. Beginning with the caliper, Moser Engineering designed a competition race series 4-piston aluminum anodized forged billet caliper made of 6061 T-6 billet aluminum instead of a cheaper cast caliper. The anodized finish helps eliminate corrosion and preventable wear. A dual pin is used for pad retention and O-rings are used to eliminate pad chatter. Stainless steel pistons and PTFE coated one-piece bleeder screws are included in the design with dual crossover ports for quicker fluid release on the outboard pistons. Another Moser feature is the caliper and rotor design that allow for 25 percent more pad contact area than other calipers and allow for a 20 percent thicker pad than most of the competition. Kits ship with industry leading Hawk HP PLUS pads that lean on their years of expertise in racing brake pad design and compounds. For the revolutionary rotor/hat design Moser designed a 2-piece keyed, slotted, and drilled rotor combined with a hat that utilizes a spiral retaining ring to help allow more radial growth during high-temperature cycles, helping to reduce the sticking, warping, and beveling that occurs under heavy braking.
