They're designed to clamp at the edge of the work area and leave room for welding, bonding, gluing, sealing etc. The side-grips work with our traditional Cleco pliers and feature a strong, spring-loaded design with smooth jaws to prevent damage to paint or material finish. • 1 in. throat depth • 1/2 in. maximum clamping thickness
