Woodward Fab leather shot bags, also referred to as forming bags, are available in various shapes--usually round, to be filled with lead bird shot or silica sand. Just place a piece of sheet metal atop the filled shot bag and with each blow of a Bossing mallet, you're able to shape and stretch the metal panel into the desired shape. These shot bags are made out of top-grain leather for durability. They work great with Woodward Fab's shot bag stands, which are available in various styles and sold separately.

Dimple die punch and flare tools by Woodward Fab create distinctive holes in sheet metal. They can be used with up to 16 gauge for mild steel and 14 gauge for aluminum. Starting with a small pilot hole and tightening the provided draw stud bolt using two wrenches, these tools will first punch the hole—then continue to form the flare as the two sides are brought together. Flaring the hole adds rigidity and stiffness to the panel and reduces weight, while adding a striking feature to any custom application.
