UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms eliminate unwanted traction problems and transfer your power to the wheels. UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms bolt on directly in place of the factory unit using existing mounting holes and require no drilling or welding. These torque arms are designed to eliminate wheel hop under hard acceleration and reduce 60 ft. times instantly. UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms are supplied with a low-deflection front bushing designed to replace the stock rubber bushing and bolt in the existing clamshell. The rear torque arm mount is constructed entirely of 0.375 in. thick, CNC-machined mild steel and is fully MIG-welded. These torque arms feature on-car adjustability for easy pinion angle adjustments using a 4140 heat-treated adjuster and 3/4 in. rod ends. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits are designed to remove the front mounting point of the torque arm off of the transmission and protect the tailshaft from damage. General Motors' tailshaft mounted design works great for a stock-driven vehicle; however, it is not designed to take abuse and hard launches. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits replace your transmission crossmember with a new, stronger setup with a built-in torque arm mount. Each relocation kit is designed to fit a specific transmission and will work with virtually any stock-style aftermarket torque arm, as well as with the factory torque arm. These units are built using rectangular mild steel tubing and 0.188 in. mild steel mounting plates and they include all hardware needed for installation. The torque arm mount is machined from 0.250 in. thick mild steel and features a new clamshell for appropriately attaching the torque arm to the new crossmember.

UMI Performance coilover conversion brackets are used to provide a double shear upper attachment point for a true 2 1/2 in. racing coilover shock and spring. Most applications will use an industry standard 7 in. stroke double rod end shock and 12 in. x 2 1/2 in. diameter coilover spring. The bracket bolts to the upper A-arm mount in order to properly locate the unit for welding. Prototyping was completed using Afco Pro-Tour Elite shocks; your brand may require additional modification. Heavy fabrication is required, as the 4054 kit is intended for use on high-end, high performance Pro-Touring builds. Order the conversion brackets recommended for your vehicle.

These kits are designed to get your vehicle consistently leaving the line straight, eliminate torque steer, and drastically improve 60 ft. times. The included adjustable end links allow vehicle preload to be set for straight launches. UMI's end links feature heavy-duty chromoly rod ends, which have a hard chrome plating and a PTFE self-lubricating race. The end links attach to the drag bars using 5/8 in. Grade 8 bolts and locknuts. These heavy-duty rear drag bars attach to the axle tubes using high-strength 4140 chromoly U-bolts, 3/16 in. thick fabricated mounts, and Energy Suspension bushings.
