UMI Performance Transmission Mounted Torque Arms

UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms eliminate unwanted traction problems and transfer your power to the wheels. UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms bolt on directly in place of the factory unit using existing mounting holes and require no drilling or welding. These torque arms are designed to eliminate wheel hop under hard acceleration and reduce 60 ft. times instantly. UMI Performance transmission mounted torque arms are supplied with a low-deflection front bushing designed to replace the stock rubber bushing and bolt in the existing clamshell. The rear torque arm mount is constructed entirely of 0.375 in. thick, CNC-machined mild steel and is fully MIG-welded. These kits are designed to get your vehicle consistently leaving the line straight, eliminate torque steer, and drastically improve 60 ft. times. The included adjustable end links allow vehicle preload to be set for straight launches. UMI Performance Torque Arm Relocation Kits

UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits are designed to remove the front mounting point of the torque arm off of the transmission and protect the tailshaft from damage. General Motors' tailshaft mounted design works great for a stock-driven vehicle; however, it is not designed to take abuse and hard launches. UMI Performance torque arm relocation kits replace your transmission crossmember with a new, stronger setup with a built-in torque arm mount. Each relocation kit is designed to fit a specific transmission and will work with virtually any stock-style aftermarket torque arm, as well as with the factory torque arm. These units are built using rectangular mild steel tubing and 0.188 in. mild steel mounting plates and they include all hardware needed for installation.
