In doing so, they minimize wheel hop and improve cornering, while lowering track ETs and helping track consistency. UMI Performance non-adjustable lower control arms eliminate the flex and bushing deflection found in the factory lower control arms. Their tubular setup is built using 1.500 in. drawn-over mandrel tubing and features TIG-welded construction for the utmost in strength and durability. The rubber OEM bushings are replaced with greasable polyurethane bushings.

UMI Performance tubular front steering braces, also known as the Wonder Bars, are designed to tie the front right and left subframes together. UMI Performance tubular front steering braces bolt directly under the front sway bar, stiffening the front frame and resulting in improved handling, cornering, and overall performance. The steering braces strengthen the chassis, taking stress from the steering box area, which is well known as a weak area on any third-generation F-body. The steering braces are constructed from 0.250 in. 1018 mild steel CNC-machined mounting points and 1.250 in. DOM steel tubing with a 0.120 in. wall that is fully MIG-welded for extreme strength and lasting performance.

UMI Performance solid motor mounts replace the factory rubber motor mounts, decreasing engine movement for maximal vehicle performance. These solid mounts bolt directly to the frame of the 1982-92 GM F-body and 1978-88 GM G-body, as well as many other 1974 and later GM V8 applications. Solid mounts are required to be used in conjunction with the factory clamshell. The centerline is 1 in. from the crossmember surface to the center of the hole; check your original part's dimensions before ordering. Solid mounts may not work with Oldsmobile V8-style clamshells. UMI Performance Sway Bar Mounts
UMI's sway bar brackets are CNC-machined from beautiful T6-6061 billet aluminum and anodized to prevent corrosion. Large sway bars place a lot of stress on their mounting points and brackets, causing them to flex, bend, or even break. These heavy-duty mounts are a direct replacement for the stamped steel mounts supplied with most aftermarket sway bars. They're supplied with new greaseable polyurethane bushings and grease fittings.

UMI Performance sway bar relocation brackets provide greater clearances around your steering system and struts by moving the mounting points slightly forward. This allows for a greater variety of options—including adjustable-style struts and/or the use of UMI's upgraded billet sway bar mounts (sold separately). These kits include optional spacers to allow proper installation with UMI's front wonder bar, and may work with other wonder bars, as well. UMI Performance sway bar relocation brackets are an excellent upgrade for rusted factory units or those that are breaking from competition use. UMI Performance control arm relocation brackets reposition your instant center by changing your lower control arm angle for improved traction. UMI Performance control arm relocation brackets lower the rear of the control arm by up to 3 in. and are a must for all lowered vehicles to correct lost suspension geometry. These relocation brackets have two settings to allow the lower control arm to be lowered either 2 in. or 3 in., depending on your preference. Settings are placed in a correct pattern that will allow for the use of all OEM control arms or any aftermarket control arm (brackets do not require a longer control arm).

UMI Performance Control Arm Torque Box Reinforcements
UMI Performance control arm torque box reinforcements will take care of those cracked torque boxes. If you have raced your Mustang aggressively, on slicks, or even on the street, and especially if your car is a 5-speed, you may have cracked torque boxes. Fox bodies don't have the best chassis to begin with; combine them with a V8 and some torque, and you are going to have problems. That is why control arm reinforcements or torque box reinforcements were designed to reinforce weak and cracked torque boxes.
