UMI Performance Competition Front End Kits
Tremendous front grip and a host of features can be yours with UMI Performance Competition front-end kits. The included A-arm kit enables 10 degrees caster while maintaining standard track width and wheelbase. Lower A-arms are assembled with tall lower ball joints to optimize roll center, camber gain, and center of gravity. Lower A-arms feature Delrin bushings for smooth travel and bind-free performance. The new lower A-arm works in conjunction with the included adjustable upper arm—which features minimum shim adjustability, Pro Forged ball joints, and super-smooth PTFE lined rod ends. The front sway bar attaches using UMI's swivel-style end link design and double shear mounting system. The included Viking Crusader coilover shocks mount to the lower A-arm in double shear quick-change brackets. The lower shock mount is removable to allow spring and shock changes at the track. UMI's kit features Viking Crusader shocks with AT pro-touring valving (high rebound tie-down for road race and autocross) and a true 2.5 in. racing coilover. The upper stud mount fits in the factory location, while the lower is optimized to fit UMI's 3057-1 coilover lower A-arm. Some grinding is required for installation in the upper frame spring bucket. Other spring rates and valve codes are available. The Competition kits have been battle-tested on the iconic UMI Green Machine. Kits are available in red or black powdercoat; and are 100 percent designed, manufactured, and raced with pride in the USA.

UMI Performance Stage 5 Front Suspension Packages
UMI Performance Stage 5 front suspension packages provide a solid foundation for your strip car with occasional street duty. UMI's dual tube K-member is known as the strongest in its class—and can withstand wheel stand landings and street abuse while still shaving weight, as well as protecting the oil pan. The rod end upper and lower A-arms reduce friction and unsprung weight while ensuring super-quick weight transfer. These K-members and A-arms are built from strong DOM tubing, precision-bent, CNC-notched and welded in a jig to form a solid base. Upper and lower A-arms are assembled with PTFE-lined race quality rod ends and premium ball joints. The included adjustable A-arms offer strength, weight reduction, reduced friction, and alignment adjustments when needed. Increased caster for straight-line stability can be achieved very easily with this bolt-in system. Stage 5 includes Viking A226 bearing-mounted front coilovers with double adjustable shocks that allow ride height, compression, and rebound adjustment. The A226s feature bearing ends in place of polyurethane for friction reduction, improved response, and longer lasting performance. Ride height adjustment is accomplished with the included spanner wrenches and thrust washers; while the compression and rebound adjusters are clicked by hand—and feature a total of 361 possible valving combinations. The included springs are 300 lbs./in. and work perfectly on drag race applications and vehicles with front-end weight reduction. The UMI Performance Stage 5 front suspension package is found under many F-body drag cars with single-digit ETs. UMI Performance Stage 4 front suspension packages are direct bolt-in replacements--no welding is needed. These kits will give your vehicle a sturdy understructure, while providing weight reduction, performance, and comfort. The dual tube K-member and tubular upper and lower race A-arms and rod ends can take any abuse you can dish out. Poly bushings on the straight strut portion absorb road noise, while the non-adjustable uppers guide the suspension on greasable poly bushings. UMI's Corner Max front-end kits are a comprehensive system with UMI's best corner carving parts. They combine geometry corrected A-arms with tall ball joints, higher rate springs, UMI rebound adjustable monotube shocks, heavy-duty sway bar and a bump steer kit. These Corner Max kits are built to make the stock GM clip work as well as it possibly can with a true bolt-on kit.
