The OE rocker arm bearing design is a proven weak link in high-performance LS engines because the bearings are unable to cope with high lift cams, higher valve spring pressures, and sustained high-RPM use. Plus, the uncaptured design allows the needle rollers to be ejected into the crankcase, potentially causing catastrophic engine damage. One way to fix these issues is with a full set of high-quality roller rocker arms. However, many builders prefer the lower cost and lightweight durability of stock rocker bodies. That's where Trick Flow's far less costly solution comes in. The Trick Flow® rocker arm trunnion upgrade kit includes 16 CNC-machined trunnions that are heat-treated and precision ground to tighter tolerances for reduced wear and significantly improved rocker arm control. Once you see Trick Flow® PowerPort® 240 heads for big block Mopar in action, you'll agree they are the only aftermarket aluminum heads worth using on your engine! The intake runners have been enhanced to increase airflow, and both intake and exhaust runners feature Trick Flow's® special CNC Street Ported treatment that combines premium-quality CNC machining with a standard resolution finish that's perfect for making more power. That's not all! Newly designed rocker arm shaft mounting bosses are stronger than the OE design, and larger diameter pushrod holes have been incorporated to accommodate 3/8 in. pushrods for use with flat tappet and hydraulic roller camshafts. Bronze alloy valve guides, ductile iron valve seats, and multi-angle valve seats further increase performance and durability.
