The OE rocker arm bearing design is a proven weak link in high-performance LS engines because the bearings are unable to cope with high lift cams, higher valve spring pressures, and sustained high-RPM use. Plus, the uncaptured design allows the needle rollers to be ejected into the crankcase, potentially causing catastrophic engine damage. One way to fix these issues is with a full set of high-quality roller rocker arms. However, many builders prefer the lower cost and lightweight durability of stock rocker bodies. That's where Trick Flow's far less costly solution comes in. The Trick Flow® rocker arm trunnion upgrade kit includes 16 CNC-machined trunnions that are heat-treated and precision ground to tighter tolerances for reduced wear and significantly improved rocker arm control. Precision needle roller bearings withstand high performance cams, valve springs, and repeated high-RPM blasts. They are held captive by extra wide circlips to prevent the bearing walk-out problem of the OE design. The Trick Flow® trunnion installation kit takes all the hassle out of removing old trunnions and installing new ones, with easy installation using just a bench vise instead of a cumbersome hydraulic press like other kits. Trick Flow® GenX® 260 square port cylinder heads for GM LS7 are the best choice for your LS-based performance build for several reasons. The A356-T6 aluminum castings feature more material for increased rigidity and strength. Factory LS7 port locations, valve angles, and valve locations have been maintained to work with existing intakes and pistons. One-piece modular, 2024-T4 billet aluminum rocker arm mounts enhance valvetrain stability and are removable for shaft rocker setups. Trick Flow GenX® 220 cylinder heads for GM 6.0L LS2 engines are a great value in GM LS performance. The cathedral port heads incorporate features of Trick Flow's fully CNC-ported LS heads in a more affordable "Fast As Cast®" version that flows nearly as much air as Trick Flow's competition ported heads. The special Fast As Cast runner design duplicates the port shape and profile of fully CNC-ported runners, resulting in near-CNC-ported performance for the same price as regular cast cylinder heads. Other features include shallower 13.5° valve angles to decrease valve shrouding and increase mid-lift airflow, relocated spark plugs, CNC-profiled combustion chambers with port-to-valve seat blending (bowl blending), improved rocker arm/ valve cover clearance, and a rigid casting design. The heads feature fully CNC Competition Ported runners with a premium high resolution surface finish for maximum airflow and performance potential. Stock LS3 ports accommodate LS3-style intake manifolds and LS9/LSA blower assemblies. The valve angles have been changed from 15° to 12° to increase piston-to-valve clearance and allow the use of larger camshafts. The coolant holes through the head deck were redesigned to work with all LS head gasket and engine block combinations.
