TransGo automatic transmission reprogramming kits are designed with performance in mind. Most, but not all models contain additional features like Gear Command that allows you to hold manual low to any speed, and shift back to low at any speed. They are great for strip cars or 4x4 rock crawlers needing to select low and not have it upshift. TransGo's fully CNC-machined overdrive pressure plates will allow you to quickly and easily add extra capacity to the overdrive clutch pack. The pressure plates are a direct fit for the OEM drum. Consequently, there is no need for you to spend a small fortune on an aftermarket drum. When using this TransGo pressure plate, you can add two overdrive fricitions for single-sided application and one overdrive friction for double-sided application. For the single-sided friction setup, like in the 68RFE, the new stack up yields a 15 percent increase in surface area. Alternatively, for double-sided friction setup, like in the 545RFE, the end result is a 25 percent increase in surface area. The valves are available as a drop-in lockup balance valve or an oversized converter regulator valve. The drop-in balance valve prevents or reduces, lockup failure, chugging or killing engine at stop, and engine code 628 activations. The oversized converter regulator valves help correct valve bore wear, which can cause harsh lockup, excessive lockup slip, overheating, or activate P0740 lockup performance codes.
