Trail-Gear Trail-Creeper Ring & Pinion Gears

Trail-Gear Trail-Creeper ring and pinion gears can be relied on, even over the most punishing trails. These are the same gears that have won multiple championships on the W.E. Rock circuit and have proven themselves on some of the most grueling off-road courses in the world. These gears are made from tool-grade 8620 steel and heat-treated for strength and wear resistance. The gear teeth are cut using Gleason CNC gear-cutting technology, producing an unprecedented level of accuracy and surface finish. This allows Trail Creeper gears to transmit more torque with improved fuel efficiency. The higher accuracy and surface finish also produce a quieter-running gear set, which means that they'll work great on your daily driver, too. If you're looking for a gear set that's easy on the wallet, but can handle whatever you throw at it, look to Trail-Creepers from Trail-Gear.

Trail-Gear Transfer Case Gear Sets

Low range gears are critical for technical off-road driving. Trail-Gear's Samurai low range gear kit is the highest quality gear set available. Low range reduction is 4.90:1 (115 percent low range reduction). High range reduction is 16 percent. No welded or second-rate gears here. These are strong, run quiet, and take a huge amount of abuse. The complete kits include four new precision-cut gears, counter shaft, needle bearings, shims, O-ring, gaskets, and input/output seals. (Heavy-duty front output shaft is recommended. Minor grinding of case is necessary for installation.) Specifications/details: * Heavy-duty Samurai transfer case output shaft recommended * Made from Japanese SCM415 alloy for its great strength and wear resistance * SCM415 outperforms the 8620 material in yield and ultimate tensile strength * Note: The recommended tire size for the 4.90 gears is 30-31 in.
