Clearance is the key word for off-road enthusiasts. Navigating rocks and rugged terrain leaves your thin steering mechanism vulnerable to damage--which makes Trail-Gear high steer arms invaluable to your vehicle. These pressure-forged steel brackets provide solid mounting points to raise your pitman arm and steering rods a few more inches off the ground. This additional height can mean the difference between safe adventures … or a bent and useless steering component. Trail-Gear steer arms feature tapered tie rod holes for secure contact between parts, and they compensate for angles so your rod ends can ride at the OE-standard 90 degrees. For trucks, 4Runners, Land Cruisers, and other solid front axle rides, TG high steer arms are essential equipment when you venture off the beaten path.

After years of development and testing, Trail-Gear fully loaded Six Shooter kits have set a new standard for Toyota knuckle strength and reliability. They totally eliminate the problem of broken steering knuckles and studs. The addition of two studs in each arm effectively prevents the steering arm from becoming loose or shearing off the studs under extreme loads. The knuckle housing was designed with thicker-than-stock material, and larger gussets have been added around the outside of the knuckle for extra strength. Precision CNC-machined, each set of knuckles and steering arms are inspected and tested for the highest quality of products that Trail-Gear can deliver. These kits include a special 6-hole shim pack for use between the top of the knuckle and the steering arm assembly. A minimum of four additional steering arm studs are required for installation.

Specifically designed for Toyota Tacoma trucks, the Trail-Gear Rock Defense dual T-case crossmembers provide a sturdy secure transfer case mount, while also providing superior transfer case protection while sliding across any rocks your vehicle can tackle. The Rock Defense T-case crossmembers are made from 3/8 in. thick 1010 steel, so you have confidence that your transfer case is supported and covered when you are sliding over even the nastiest rocks. These crossmember kits can be mounted either by drilling the frame and bolting the crossmember in, or simply by welding the crossmember mounting brackets to the frame and bolting the crossmember to the mounting brackets. Both dual case and single case crossmembers use the same mounting brackets, so that once you have your single case brackets installed, there is no need to change them when upgrading to dual cases. You simply bolt dual case crossmember into the same bracket, all that is needed is an additional T-case mount. Features and benefits: * Fits 1995-2004 Tacoma T-cases, automatic and manual transmissions, and uses your stock T-case mount(s) * Rock Defense T-case crossmember kits can be mounted either by drilling the frame and bolting the crossmember in, or simply by welding the crossmember mounting brackets to the frame and bolting the crossmember to the mounting brackets * Supplied mounting brackets are 1/4 in. thick 1010 steel and all necessary Grade 8 mounting hardware is included with top locking nuts * Both single and dual case crossmembers use the same mounting brackets, so that once you have your single case brackets installed, there is no need to change them when you upgrade to dual cases—simply bolt the dual case crossmember into the same bracket, all that is needed is an additional T-case mount (sold separately) * Crossmembers are shipped unpainted and should be painted or powdercoated before being installed
