These rivet nuts, also referred to as "nutsert" fasteners, are a tubular rivet fastener with internal threads which can be installed in seconds from one side of the work piece. Once installed, no finishing work is required on the rivet nut fastener. These fasteners also are used when an application has little or no access to the backside, as they can be installed from the front side of the work piece.
