If light isn't good enough, and really light still doesn't quite make it, Tilton's extra-light XLT Super Starters are for you. They have permanent-magnet motors and put out a full 1.6 hp, yet they weigh only a feather-light 7 lbs. They're also very compact, which can free up much-needed clearance for headers or a big oil pan. On top of that, most are "clockable" for multiple choices of solenoid positioning, to help get you even more clearance. They're recommended for engines up to 400 c.i.d.
