The Driveshaft Shop Driveshafts

Factory driveshafts are made from a smaller tube (there are 2 different types) and will flex and bend during hard acceleration, causing the rubber drives to wear out prematurely. The Driveshaft Shop torque tube driveshafts are made from 3 x .125 wall 6061 T-6 aluminum and uses The Driveshaft's own custom machined ends. This ensures that the shaft will not distort or break like the factory units, and offer units rated up to 1000 hp. Choose the driveshaft designed for your vehicle.

The Driveshaft Shop Level 6 Axles

The Driveshaft Shop introduces Level 6 1400 hp axles for the 2010-14 Camaro V8. They've designed a new one-piece outer CV for the application that is not only stronger but more cost-effective to manufacture. This saves you money without sacrificing durability! These direct bolt-in axles feature CNC rolled splines for extra strength. Full 30 spline certified 300M center bars (not just 28 spline like a factory 108mm CV would use)—30 spline, like the Viper T56 and any upgraded T56. If the cages are stronger, the bars need to be also. The Driveshaft Shop has also included their certified 4340AQ cages REM polished with a re-designed radius on the cage window. Cages are full 4340, not the standard material that has been carbonized and made brittle.

The Driveshaft Shop Level 5 Axles

These Driveshaft Shop Level 5 axle systems have been the most copied drivetrain components for front wheel drive cars to date because they work great and are very affordable. The bar has been raised for these Level 5 axles. They use the 1.4 O.D. outer CVs from the Level 6 systems, and have made the center bar larger by changing from 1 in. to 1.125 in. (now 34-tooth). They also feature a redesigned inner CV with an even larger tripod design. These systems are made to handle up to 800 hp and 28 in. tires.

The Driveshaft Shop Level 4 Axles

The Driveshaft Shop's Level 4 axles are similar to their Level 5 models. The outer CV and the internals are made from high-grade chromoly. Original spline sizes are used to fit the stock hubs. To make sure the center bar is up to the task of hard launches, autocross, and rally demands, The Driveshaft Shop uses the new 300M material for extra strength. This material has proven to be, without a doubt, the strongest and most resilient bar material available to the company. Also, the inner CV was recently changed from a tripod design to a full ball and cage design—with a larger radius to the spline plug for added strength. So there you have it: a direct-fit axle that will withstand the most violent launches, time attacks, or rally applications. Order the Level 4 axles recommended for your vehicle.

The Driveshaft Shop X4 Axles

In an ongoing quest for the perfect axle, The Driveshaft Shop has hit the mark with its new X4 Rated Line. These axles have been engineered with fast street cars in mind that still occasionally visit the track for drag, road course/Auto X duties. Designed to handle 700-1000 whp (depending on the application), X4 axles are made with some of the best 300M materials and heat-treat processes in the industry. They are considered as a direct bolt-in design and will take the abuse you plan to push through them. Available for a variety of applications, including select Mazda and Subaru models from 2006 and up.

The Driveshaft Shop Level 0 Axles

The Driveshaft Shop Evolution VII / VIII / IX Level 0 complete front performance axles feature a chromoly center bar, a real billet inner CV, a larger oversized tripod, and a new heat treat on the 1117 billet outer. The outer CV is custom-made with a single arc design—a time/wear advantage over the factory dual arc design that tends to wear out prematurely. This is a superior axle for any stock replacement or swap. Axles come with removable ABS rings. They're designed as an alternative to cheap re-builds or inferior aftermarket axles that are sold today. (The Driveshaft Shop does not consider this a racing axle and does not offer warranty against breakage.)
