TCI trans-brake kits allow you to achieve maximum torque converter stall for quicker and more consistent reaction and 60 ft. times. They work like this: When the trans-brake is engaged, the vehicle can roll neither forward nor backward, and as you press on the accelerator, the engine can rev as high as the torque converter stall. Once the brake is released, power is immediately transferred to the rear tires, with less parts breakage than with a manual transmission.

Like the StreetFighter units, these are equipped with 100 percent tested, manual/automatic valve bodies. That means that most units allow you to manually shift the vehicle into each gear change or, by placing it in the drive position, remain fully automatic. In either mode, you get a racetrack shift that bangs through the gears and shaves time off your ETs. When you use the manual gear selection feature, the Super StreetFighters upshift and downshift right when you move the lever, with no lag or governor override. When you select the normal drive position, the transmissions retain positive automatic shifts, for the ease of driving you look for in an automatic transmission.

This gives you racetrack shifts and shaves time off your ETs. Each transmission goes through a variety of tests to verify that internal fluid pressures and shift characteristic match TCI's strict quality control standards. For the system to operate properly, all throttle linkage, vacuum lines and kick-down components must be connected. Each transmission package consists of a triple-tested TCI transmission and precision-tuned torque converter, a universal transmission cooler and premium TCI RTF transmission fluid. These packages are available with a variety of transmission models and other performance options. Choose the package for your application needs.
