TCI trans-brake kits allow you to achieve maximum torque converter stall for quicker and more consistent reaction and 60 ft. times. They work like this: When the trans-brake is engaged, the vehicle can roll neither forward nor backward, and as you press on the accelerator, the engine can rev as high as the torque converter stall. Once the brake is released, power is immediately transferred to the rear tires, with less parts breakage than with a manual transmission.

These TCI StreetFighter converters are completely remanufactured with furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, and a flame-hardened hub. StreetFighter converters will give you about a 3,000 to 3,500 rpm stall speed. They're recommended for use on high-compression street/strip engines and higher performance cars and are used on some of the fastest street machines the world over. Plus, some applications are available with an anti-ballooning plate for use on vehicles equipped with nitrous oxide.

TCI GM Transmission to Chrysler/Ford Engine Adapter Kits are constructed from 1/4" or 1/2" 6061-T6 aluminum and measure 18 in. tall x 24 in. wide. They may be trimmed for chassis clearance or used as a mid-mount plate. These kits are designed to retain the stock starter location.

The kits are available for TCI 6X 6-speed transmissions to attach the 6X to most applications. TCI Competition torque converters are proven race winners and an excellent choice for stock and Super Stock cars. They work well with both big and small blocks, producing power between 4,500 and 7,000 rpm. You'll maintain engine rpm between shifts with their efficient design, and gain improved reliability with an oversize caged bearing supporting a new stator.
