Summit Racing™ Epoxy Primer is part of a user-friendly 2-component system, free of lead chromate and isocyanates. This epoxy provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, dries quickly, and maintains good color holdout. It provides an exceptionally strong and durable foundation for complete and/or partial refinishing work. The primer can be applied directly over properly prepared steel, aluminum, factory finishes, fiberglass, body fillers, and other substrates. Unlike most epoxies, our primer won't gum up when sanded after about 2-3 days. It mixes 1:1 with an epoxy catalyst (sold separately), with no induction time needed.

The epoxy is also free of lead, chromate, and isocyanates. Get it done right the first time with an assist from Summit Racing™ Epoxy Primer Catalyst, available in quarts and gallons. Proper setup requires equal quantities of primer and catalyst. Summit Racing Single-Stage Urethane Paint System meets National Rule VOC emissions standards. Summit Racing™ heavy-duty gray epoxy hardener adds extreme durability, extended service life, and easy application for your project. Mix three parts epoxy primer with one part epoxy hardener and one part base coat reducer to apply on bare metal, fiberglass, body filler, or sheet-molding compounds. Unlike most other primers, Summit Racing™ epoxy hardener requires no induction time, so you can add the top coat as soon as 30 minutes after the initial application.

Summit Racing™ 2.1 VOC 2K high build DTM primer is a 2-component, low-VOC primer that can be applied directly to small areas of bare metal, as well as to OEM finishes, fiberglass, sheet molding compounds, and refinishing lacquers, enamels, and urethanes. Mix it in a 7:2 ratio with 2.1 VOC 2K high build DTM primer hardener, apply two or three wet coats, and in 90 minutes, it's dry and ready to sand. This low-VOC primer has fewer of those pollutants and terrible odors, so it's better for you and the environment.
